Anti Fox News White House Comm. director Anita Dunn names Mao Zedong as a favorite political philosopher

Here is a clip from tonight’s Glenn Beck program, where White House Communications Director Anita Dunn states that one of her “favorite political philosophers” is “Mao Zedong”, you know, the Chinese Communist leader who was responsible for mass famine, political assassinations and genocide, just to name a few.  This is yet another example of how radical President Obama and those he chooses to surround himself with are and shows how off base their ideas are from that of the American public.

Here is the clip:

Rasmussen Reports: Obama approval ratings for Oct. 12-14

downArrowRasmussen Reports, the public opinion polling group founded by Scott Rasmussen (of ESPN fame), is still showing a decline in the Presidential approval rating of Barack Obama.  The most current polling data from October 12 through 14 shows that 48% of those polled approve of Obama while 51% disapprove of the job he is doing.  This is a 1% down tick in Obama’s approval rating since the October 4-6 Rasmussen polling data.

The nation clearly has not “come around to the idea of the public option” as Vice President Biden said in the finest airhead fashion yesterday.  The nation is still not confident in the direction Obama is leading the country in and it just continues to get worse.  After this weeks attack on the White House by Communications Director Anita Dunn, the indecision on sending additional troops to Afghanistan and the ever rising cost of Obama Care, things are not looking good for President Obama and the polls are showing this sentiment.

Maines “Moderate” Republicans

democrat_donkey_on_a_bullseye_lg_nwm2I have received a great deal of emails and comments from various postings of my articles on Senators Snowe and Collins.  Most of these messages have been from Maine residents who have berated me for not understanding the dynamics of Maine politics.  Each and every comment has included the phrase “moderate republican” when addressing  Snowe and Collins support of the Baucus health care bill.

The intention of both articles was to point out how both Sen. Collins and Sen. Snowe are not acting like Republicans.  Moderate has nothing to do with their support of Obamacare.  Moderate, like liberal and conservative, are social or fiscal models within the two major political parties, Republicans and Democrats.  While these social or fiscal models typically align with one ideology or another, there are clear lines that differentiate the various political and social systems.

In saying that, Senator’s Snowe and Collins are not Republicans, no one who votes for such massive government spending and expansion can call themselves Republican.  While I believe, in the end, that no true Republican can be anything other than conservative in their social beliefs, it is a fact that there are moderate Republicans, even liberal ones.  Still, they all share a belief in Small federal government, a strong state’s rights.  They might disagree on abortion rights or other moral issues but the core Republican belief in small government cannot be ignored as criteria for a Republican politician.  Trillions of dollars in federal spending, nationalization of banks and the auto industry do not scream Republican but Democrat.

Senator’s Snowe and Collins are not Republicans, moderate Republicans or liberal Republicans (how this works is beyond me), they are left of center Democrats, who support large centralized government and control of the people through control of their lives.

Another “Republican” Senator open to Health Care Bill

collinsAfter yesterday’s (not) surprising “I’m a yes” vote by Sen. Olympia Snowe (not really R-Maine), on the health bill vote in the Senate Finance Committee, another so-called “Republican” from the politically confused State of Maine has said she will back massive government health care reform. Senator Susan Collins (not really R-Maine) told The Associated Press today that the bill approved Tuesday by the Finance Committee needs “substantial improvements” to make coverage more affordable, contain costs, and protect Medicare.

“My hope is we that can fix the flaws in the bill and come together with a truly bipartisan bill that could garner widespread support,” Collins said in an interview. “I think this bill is far superior to the ones passed by the Senate (health) committee and the three House committees, but it needs substantial additional work,” said Sen. Collins.

Senators Collins and Snowe argue that support of the Baucus bill (named for Senate Finance Committee Chair Max Baucas), “a middle of the road bill”, is a show of support for health care overhaul not the public option. Yet, Sen. Snowe’s yes vote yesterday has helped pave the way for a radical, liberal crafted bill, headed by none other than Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada). Sen. Reid is a lefty with nothing to lose and will write the bill with that in mind. His re-election hopes are in the gutter according to prominent pollsters which leaves the door wide open for him to show his true colors, as a Statist, without any hesitation. Now, with the support of Sen. Collins, the Democrats will likely be able to pass what they want, a massive government run program, fines for the uninsured, and exorbitant taxes and fines for private insurance companies and small businesses.

simply put, Senators Snowe and Collins, call themselves Republicans yet vote or pledge to vote in support of a bill that will punish the free market, fine healthy citizens without health care and lower the overall quality of health care in America, and it will only cost $829 billion over 10 years. What a deal.

Do us all a favor and quit now because re-election is not likely in your future Senator Snowe and if you don’t watch your mouth (and your vote), you might be in trouble as well Sen. Collins. Remember, your job is not to vote based on what you believe is good for America, but to vote based on what your constituents believe is good for America. You represent the half of the State of Maine with the permission of the people and if their wishes are not met, well, bye, bye.

Senator Snowe says “I’m a yes”. Once again proving she is no Republican

snoweSenator Olympia Snowe (not really R-Maine) said today that she will vote for the health care legislation drawn up by the Senate Finance Committee.  Sen. Snowe has once again shown her constituents and the Republican party that she is no Republican, but rather a confused Democrat leeching off of the Republican Party in order to get Maine voters on her side.

Snowe said that when “history calls, history calls. And I happen to think the consequences of inaction dictate the urgency of Congress to take every opportunity to demonstrate its capacity to solve the monumental issues of our time.”  Well, Senator Snowe, that is very liberal of you, making sure you are part of the “history”, or rather the tragedy, if a massive health care bill is passed.

Senator Snowe, you share a great deal with Sen. Arlin Specter (R-Penn), you know, voting for the omnibus bill, acting a voting like a big government Democrat and just all around ignoring the will of the people you work for.  I have a great idea, pull a Specter, switch alliances, put a “D” after that name.  You should be ashamed of yourself if you truly feel you are a Republican.  You understand that a “yes” vote is a go ahead for the Democrats to craft a radical Socialist Heath Care bill.  If this bill is not “all that it could be” then why are you putting your name on it?  Why are you siding with the enemy of free markets and small business and American Families?  Why do you consistently undermine the will of the American people as many liberals have done before, vote to grow government and still call yourself a Republican?

If this bill passes, so should your senate seat to a real Republican in Maine who will hopefully help fix this mess.

White House: Fox News not news but ‘a wing of republican party’

fox-news-logoWhite House communications director Anita Dunn has openly attacked Fox News.  Let me say that again; The White House has attacked a public news organization and accused it of bias.  What country are we living in?  If media bias were an issue why are CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, NPR, The New York Times, and a plethora of other “news” organizations still in business and geysers of  liberal bias.  American business is free to be as bias as they choose to be and since Fox News is not a non-profit but a tax paying entity, it is none of the Obama administrations business as to how they report news.

Still, this is not the issue at hand.  The Obama administration continues to show it’s true colors on a daily basis, as a leftist regime or at the least the makings of one.  They lie to the public and then lie about the lies, they call any descent “extremist banter”, they call any criticism “racist”, they see any negative press as bias and if you ask them about it the next day, they will tell you they never accused anyone of anything.

Back to the filth the Obama administration is spewing.

“Let’s not pretend they’re (Fox News) a news network,” White House Communications Director Dunn said on CNN, of all stations (that beacon of quality news).  She accused Fox News of being “the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party” and “a wing of the Republican Party.”  Why the attacks on Fox News?  Well, they are the top cable news service and have an intelligent and educated viewer base.  Oh yea, and they were not knee deep in praise for the most reverend, all knowing, all seeing, his holiness the Dalia Obama.  This is the core problem with Fox News in the eyes of the White House.  They simply will not kiss Obama ass and the administration can’t stand it.

Obama will not go on Fox News, berates it every chance he gets and (thankfully) marginalizes himself from the largest news viewership in the nation (aka informed voters).  Yet they have no reservations about 24 hour MSNBC access to the administration.  (I guess this is due to their non-partisan reporting and their stellar track record.)  Let’s take a look at that wonderful record.  Chris Matthews gets “chills running up (his) leg” when Obama speaks, Rachel Maddow did not get the message with the failure of Air America that American’s were not interested in her leftist banter and continues to espouse her failed message at MSNBC, Keith Olberman is drunk and stupid, and the rest of the lineup is so bad that no one knows their names nor cares what they do or say. Still, they love Obama and praise his every decision as “masterful”, “unique”, ” historical”.   CNN has done much of the same and has lost it’s only conservative voice (Glenn Beck) and is about to push it’s only moderate out the door as well (Lou Dobbs). I will not even attempt to touch NBC, CBS, ABC or the newspaper industry accept to say “news” is not the word for what they do but rather “opinion” papers, and “NBC nightly opinion”.

As for Fox News, there is no denying they are a right leaning organization but that is only fair in an America full of Leftist groups parading as “news” organizations and a large portion of a  public that couldn’t tell the difference in partisan banter and real, hard news.  Fox News is “fair and balanced” when compared to the rest.  While their reporters are right leaning, the discussions always look at both sides of the coin and have experts from from the left and the right on to debate the issues.  On any other “news” channel or newspaper, you hear from liberal reporters and Democratic guests who report the facts about as well as preschoolers.

At the end of the day, Fox News is at the top of the food chain and the American public decides what is and is not news.  For now (and for many years now) they have spoken and Fox News reports what they want to hear from a viewpoint that they (the public) agrees with and at the end of the day watches.  So, President Obama, please continue to ignore the largest cable news organization, please continue to attack Fox News for reporting fair news, and please, please, please continue to play make believe when considering descent  as nothing more than simple, extremist banter.

Progressive Diplomacy? Clinton, Iran and a bomb

arab_appeasement_bigSecretary of State Hillary Clinton met with British Foreign Minister David Miliband and discussed issues ranging from Afghanistan to Iran today.   In  a press conference following the meeting, Clinton said that the world “will not wait indefinitely” for Iran to meet its obligations regarding it’s nuclear enrichment program.

Translation:  Once again the Democrats idea of diplomacy (non-stop, non-productive talking) has failed to produce and the Iranians are continuing to enrich Uranium for use in weapons.  Clinton stating that the world “will not wait indefinitely” means that action will eventually be taken but it also means that no action will be taken now.  Further, the actions that will be taken (because the Iranians will not stop until they have nuclear weapons) will be slap wrist and nothing that a rogue terrorist state will blink twice over.  Progressive diplomacy assumes that all parties at the table are reasonable and want what is best for their people and their country.  They ignore the facts, as they do when dreaming up their Utopian ideas about government and community, the facts of human nature.  There are bad people, terrible people, power hungry people and many of these people cannot be reasoned with because they do not reason , they hate and oppress and murder.  The Iranian regime is full of these types of people and they are not going to listen to international opinion or heed to U.N. sanctions.

So, while American and foreign politicians talk and threaten to impose empty sanctions from a powerless and useless United Nations, Iran is building a nuclear arsenal and will soon be pointing that arsenal at America, Europe and Israel just to name a few targets.

Obama, Afghanistan and National Health Care

ramirez_20090721President Obama met with his war council yesterday (after receiving the Nobel “Please” Prize) to discuss something they know nothing about occurring thousands of miles away, the war in Afghanistan. Their objective was to make decisions that should be made by the general on the ground in Afghanistan.  That general is named McCrystal, you know, the same one who made recommendations to President Obama weeks ago and still has not been given what he wants and needs to succeed.  In the meantime Obama is conducting “high level” meetings with people sitting in a room in the White House . this is Big Government liberalism at its best.  “We know better than you know and the decision lies with us not you.”  All the while U.S. troops are dying in Afghanistan and their leader, General McCrystal, has his hands tied while his boss, Obama, panders to the left under the guise of making an informed decision.

So, whats the connection to Obama’s health care reform?  Well, lets say you have a lump on your back and your doctor wants to send you to an oncologist to check this thing out.  Under the current health care system, you go to the oncologist, he does a biopsy, a cat scan, etc. and finds out what it is.  If it’s cancer, they begin treating it, if not, your in the clear.  Under Obama care, your doctor must consult a treatment manual created by a group of  “professionals” in Washington and follow their recommendations for your care.  If your situation does not meet government requirements, no oncologist, no biopsy, no treatment if needed.  If you do go to the oncologist, he to must consult a manual, and then submit his recommendations for treatment to a Washington bureaucrat for approval or an alternate decision.  So, much like the war in Afghanistan, people will die while bureaucrats in Washington sit around and make decisions “for us simple folks” who are not capable of making the decisions for ourselves.

This is not propaganda, not a joke, not a crazy Republican fear monger.  This is what HR 3200, the Health Care reform bill, states in confusing, technical English but English none the less.  This is what is happening in Great Britain, Canada, and other nations with socialized health care.  It’s not a myth, not a lie.  People in these countries cannot always get the care they need because of rationing.  Read an economics book, limited resources is not a myth or a fairytale either.  If American’s would just take the time to find out what is in this bill (Erin, that includes you), one would find disturbing and frightening information about what their future health care will look like.  If you think that life saving surgery that could extend your 75 year old graandfather’s life is covered, think again.  Age is a major decision base under Obama Care.  Not a myth.  If you think that health care rationing is not going to occur, read the bill.  And if you think that the best and brightest will continue to go to medical school, create new techniques, new machines, new medicines on a salary dictated by government that barely allows them to pay off medical school, think again.

To do list:  Wake up, demand respect from your politicians, tell Obama to let the General make the decisions in Afghanistan and finally read the damn Health Care bill, all 1000 pages of it (or find a summary from a nonpartisan soure. Good luck on that one.)
