Rants and Postings from a disgruntled Republican living in a strange world

Liberals and Science: A love affair, sort of.

The debate over abortion funding in the senate health reform bill brought to mind a topic that I have often found interesting; Liberal’s love affair with science…until it comes to abortion.

Global Warming: Liberals point to the science (which is actually grossly misinterpreted or ignored if contemptuous of the status quo).

Evolution: Look at the science.

Homosexuality: Again, look at the science.

Yet, when it comes to abortion and when a life becomes a life, liberals throw science out the window and scream and whine about a woman’s choice and individual rights. I find this interesting due to the massive amount of science that supports the beliefs of pro-life advocates, life begins at conception. Liberals are so quick to allow the murder of an unborn baby regardless of the science that supports the fact that it is in fact a baby. Still, they (liberals) love to defend the lives of murders and rapists and evil human beings on death row.

Whats wrong with this picture? Bad morals, bad people and a culture of “its not my problem and its not my fault”.

Pathetic.

Pro-Choice not so popular says poll

pewThe Year 2007 showed that there was a slight majority of uneducated, ignorant, selfish, or otherwise-not-willing-to-accept-responsibility Americans that support Abortion rights, or are otherwise known as pro-choice.  A Pew Research poll showed that 54 percent of American’s identified themselves as pro-choice while 40 percent considered themselves pro-life.  Those numbers have changed according to a new poll by Pew which shows a downward shift in those who identify themselves as pro-choice.  The new numbers show that 47 percent of Americans now identify themselves as pro-choice and 44 percent as pro-life.

The decline in pro-abortion sentiment has dropped across the board including both Republicans and Democrats, Whites, Hispanics, Catholics, Protestants, Jews and unaffiliated.

“The size of the shift is modest, but the consistency with which we see it occurring and the implications it has for the overall dynamics of the debate make it significant,” Gregory Smith, a senior researcher at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, told The New York Times.

It is noteworthy to point out that the usual biased left leaning polls show no change in the views of the American public on the Abortion issue yet fairly reputable ones including the Gallup poll see similar trends to those of the Pew poll.  The recent Gallup poll shows that 53 percent identify themselves as pro-life while only 42 percent pro-choice.

This is just one more reason for the President and the Democratic congress to shake in their boots and enjoy their power lunches while they last.  The American people are not radical leftists and will vote based on the extreme policy stances that the ever aggressive leftists are attempting to force upon the American Public.

The Pew survey was conducted Aug. 11-27 among a total of 4,013 adults. The Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan “fact tank” that provides information on the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world. The center’s work is carried out by seven projects, including the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life and the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

Abortion not part of Health Care Reform Bill. Not so fast

Great video from realhealthcarerespectslife.com showing President Obama, then candidate Obama, on July 17, 2007 speaking to a Planned Parenthood group (or what I like to call The American SS) about his beliefs about abortion and health reform.
