Romney and Taxes

I will be the first to admit, Mitt is not my favorite for the GOP nomination (I don’t really have a favorite) but he is a stand up guy receiving a great deal of grief for being nothing more than successful.    In order to clear the air, Mitt released his tax returns…and  what did they tell us?

Picture from Bloomberg Media

1.  Mitt is very successful.  A great trait by any stretch.  Success, if I am not mistaken,

is encouraged in America (unless you are already successful which in that case you are disdained).

2.  Mitt gives a sh*tload of money to charities.

How terrible!  Media Unite!  Mr. Romney obviously should not be allowed to accumulate such fortune and such success.  And charity!  What a waste of good potential tax dollars.  Those funds should be given to the government, no question.  They could manage that money much better than some charity.  In fact, Mitt should turn over at least 99% of his wealth to the government and pay his fair share.  Find a nice 1 bedroom apartment and live like the rest of us poor sinners.

The government clearly is better at managing wealth.  Just compare Mr. Romney’s financials to the governments.

Obama Blames GOP for Problems…Again

Ask a liberal: Were Reagan’s and George H.W. Bush’s policies the reason for the booming economy of the 1990′s?  Was Clinton responsible for 9/11 and the uninhibited rise of fundamentalist Islam around the globe?  Most would say no.  But ask them if the current state of the US economy is the fault of failed policies of the George W. Bush administration and the answer you will receive is a resounding YES!

Aside from the fact that liberal’s are incapable of applying logic to a problem, why are they so quick to pick and choose?  The answer is simple,  they cannot grasp that liberal, socialist policies do not work.  The economic woes of America must be caused by some other reason.  There is no way it could have anything to do with excessive federal spending, increased reforms on the private sector (causing historical unemployment), or a complete lack of leadership in the White House.

But alas, the cold, hard truth is that our President has radical views on America, our economy and our place in the world.  As Karl Marx explained, Capitalism is necessary for Communism to be realized.   In the simplest of terms, Capitalism must fail, socialism must take hold and eventually Communism will set in just as soon as the benevolent leaders give up their power, position and money.  Obama, no doubt, seems more than happy to help the cause and destroy Capitalism under the false pretense that it does not work.

So, there he was last night on 60 Minutes, our most gracious and benevolent leader, pointing fingers at the GOP and crying wolf.  He spoke of the GOP being unwilling to make “common sense” concessions due to their “ideological baggage.”  Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (uh oh call the PC police), Obama has enough ideological baggage that even Southwest Airlines would charge baggage fees.  Obama is positioning himself to run against congress in 2012, not the GOP candidate.  Why?  Because he cannot run on his record or against any of the GOP contenders.  He has to run against congresses record and if the populist masses buy into his lies once again he might just succeed.

The GOP is far from perfect, many of the party elite are nothing more then big government Republicans.   What Obama clearly missed, as was evident in his interview last night, is that people blame the guy at the top, and in this case rightfully so, for the economic hardships that are effecting each and every one of us.  There are times to work together and there are times to stand up and say enough is enough.  This is one of those times and there is no room for failure on the conservative front.  I say, continue to stop each and every tax increase that the Obama administration tries to push through congress, continue to challenge each and every socialist program and idea that comes out of the white house, and continue to ensure the failure of President Obama’s administration, because anything less might ensure the failure of our great Nation.

Congresswoman McCollum skips ‘under god’ in pledge on floor of House

‘Under God’ not important to Minnesota Rep. Betty McCollum

By now most of you have heard about Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) omitting ‘under god’ as she lead the House of representatives in the Pledge of Allegiance back in 2002.  For those of you living under a rock, or “in Rio Linda” as Rush would say, a Minnesota Congresswoman openly, and on video, chose not to include the phrase ‘under god’ in the pledge on the floor of the house.  Allow a liberal to show you what they are made of and they will not disappoint.  Rep. McCollum is a tried and true lunatic and her opponent Teresa Collett is using her own words against her.

While I am not a fan of politicians attacking each other there is a need at times to call out your opponent if their radical beliefs are as extreme as Betty McCollum’s.  Keep in mind, this woman believes that Al-Qaeda is no longer a threat and also proudly supports Nancy Pelosi.

This is exactly what the TEA Party is out to change.  No more are the days of American politicians who refuse to accept America for what it is, GREAT.  No more are the days where it is deemed acceptable not to include God in the pledge of allegiance.  No More are the days where liberals try at every turn to tear down the greatest nation on the planet just to replace it with the broken, old, socialist vision of much of Western Europe.

If you live in Minnesota, regardless of your congressional district, support Teresa Collett and help put another liberal politician on the street.

Bill Maher thinks Americans are “Stupid” “like a dog”

Bill Maher joined George Lopez in trashing the American public

The ever humble, all knowing Bill Maher has once again proven to the American people that he is a fool and out of touch.  Maher, known for his useless HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, has made a name for himself as a left wing ideologue with worn out jokes, offensive rhetoric and just plain stupid talk.  He is a typical liberal, a progressive who thinks that the American people are to simple minded and out of touch to ever make informed decisions about their lives, politics, work, or money and their only solace is big government ran by enlightened liberals, such as himself.  He felt so strongly about this that he found it acceptable to call the American people “stupid”, “like a dog”.

Recently Bill Maher went on Lopez tonight and if you were one of the 12 people who watched that show you would have seen this:

Really?  This is great.  The left is running for their lives.  They are pulling out all the stops, putting the biggest and the dumbest out there to shoot down the TEA Party, Republicans and anyone who disagrees with their progressive agenda.  What has it accomplished?  Well, for those of you who were on the fence about how crazy these people are, now you have your answer.  For those of us who always knew they were all nuts, sweet validation.

Hey Bill!  We will see who’s laughing in a few days when after we stupid dogs take back our country.

Obama calls for Latino’s to “punish our enemies”

President Obama spoke on Univision Spanish television on October 25, 2010 and addressed the Latino community in the US.  Apparently Obama feels that 1. Latino’s will decide the outcome of the 2010 elections and 2. Latino’s are not part of or hate 57% of the American public that opposes Obama and his agenda and 3.  that 57% is the “enemy” of Latino’s and Obama and the Democrats are their friends.

Before I continue, please take a minute to listen to the audio President Obama (You can’t accuse me of rebel-rousing, his words are all his own!)

What’s that you said MR. President?  You want the Latino’s to “punish our enemies” and “reward our friends”. Interesting, I thought those dangerous TEA Party “extremists” were the only ones throwing around words like “punish” not enlightened liberals such as yourself.

This is unprecedented rhetoric for a sitting American President.  Jimmy Carter hasn’t even said something this stupid (and he is the king of saying stupid sh*t).  The outrageous nature of this comment lies in the fact that Obama is calling more than half of the American public the “enemy”.  So goes the rhetoric in the age of post-partisan America.  This is dangerous language for a President to be using.  In fact, people much smarter than yours truly might say this language promotes violent retaliation.  And in my humble opinion, I agree.

Watch your back America.  Send a message to President Obama and the Democrats on November 2, 2010.

Rand Paul Destroys Jack Conway

AP Photo

The University of Louisville played host to one of the most lively and vicious political debates of the 2010 Elections.  Rand Paul (R) and Jack Conway (D) went at it Sunday night.  Conway attacked Paul (in person and and in an ad) through a second hand account of an incident that occured over 30 years ago, from an anonymous source, in GQ magazine.  The source accused Rand Paul and friends of blindfolding her and forcing her to bow to “Aqua Buddha”.  While this in itself is absurd, it sounds a lot like a college prank if anything.  Conway has turned the anonymous story into a kidnapping case.  He accuses Paul of tying the woman up against her will and forcing her to accept Aqua Buddha.

I am not even sure what to say about this attack.  It has got to be one of the most ridiculous and low attacks any politician has ever made.  In doing so, Jack Conway is attempting to accuse Rand Paul of not being a Christian (which he claims publicly to be) and in doing so has alienated a great deal of the public in Kentucky and across the nation.

This is not surprising for a man like Conway, who has been fixated on gaining a national seat since losing a 2002 Congressional race against Anne Northup.  He seems willing to stoop to any level necessary to gain power.  This is exactly the type of politician Kentucky and America do not need right now or ever again.  Rand Paul is a breath of fresh air for Kentucky, a state that has been in the grip of establishment Republican

Mitch McConnell, a sometimes great, sometimes awful representative of the conservative community in the Commonwealth.  The hope is that Rand Paul will be the loud little brother, always pushing and holding McConnell to his word as well as raising some TEA Party style hell in Washington.  VISIT HIS SITE TO SEE WHERE HE STANDS ON THE ISSUES.

The only good to come out of this debacle is that Rand Paul is not lying down and taking it like Republicans have been known to in the past.  Check out his response in the video below.

Support conservative candidates and let the left know the same old politics is no longer an option.

Repeal ObamaCare: The Repeal Pledge

According to a Rasmussen Reports Poll from October 18, 2010 “55% of Likely U.S. voters favor repeal of the health care law, including 46% who Strongly Favor repeal”  SEE POLL REPORT.

Most Americans are very concerned with the expensive and dangerous regulations that Obamacare is forcing on the American public.  While most Americans will not feel the effects for some time there are some regulations that all of us will feel as of January 2011.  For example, many Americans including myself have HSA accounts where we put pretax income in an account for medication, doctors co-pays, etc.  I purchase all needed medications, prescription and over-the-counter, with my HSA card and while the need for medication in my household is very limited, the savings involved are very nice.  Well, thanks to the anointed one, over-the-counter medications are no longer covered by HSA accounts.  Add to that increased insurance costs and someone who doesn’t work for a living is looking at some health coverage on me and you.

It’s time to take action and Repeal ObamaCare.  Visit The Repeal Pledge website and get involved.  Sign the pledge, ask your representatives or nominees if they have signed the pledge.  Challenge friends, family and government officials to sign the pledge.  If they refuse, are they the right candidate for you?

3 keys to ressurecting the Republican Party

GOP Elephant
1. Act like Republicans first; Conservatives Second.

The voting public is caught up in popularity contests and reality television, not good, sound political reason. Republicans need to lay of the hard line social agenda, temporarily, and go back to the basics. Small government and individual responsibility come to mind. Focus on these two fundamentally Republican beliefs, convince the public of their value and watch the votes come rolling in. ( A little inspiration )

Acting like Republicans first ensures that a conservative agenda, fiscal and social, can be achieved easily and with an agreeable voting public. Small government addresses welfare, wasteful spending and suppression of liberty. Individual Responsibility ends the blame game, the abortion debate and class warfare. Concentrate then conquer.

2. Speak the truth.

As Republicans, we use reason and logic to guide our decisions not the overwhelming emotional standard used by Democrats. When confronted with a social issue which tugs at the heart strings or a fiscal reality that might anger some, we dance around the issues in an attempt not to offend. Stand tall, speak the truth. The truth will always win in the end. The Democrats have become the party of “yes, you can have it and we will find someone to pay for it.” Unlike the delusional mind of a liberal, a conservative should understand the greatness of the individual. People want to make it in this country, they want to succeed and thrive but the inspiration is lacking when handout after handout keeps them blinded by convenience. Tell them the truth. The truth might hurt but it will make them and you better.

3. Kick, Scream and Yell.

The Democrats have control over ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NPR, Hollywood and most newspapers and magazines. They consistently protest about everything from freeing Palestine (SEE: Lovely Liberal Protesters ) to saving the albino, long toothed bird moose (is that even real?). They scream for freedom of speech so long as it is their speech not descent ( SEE: Ignorant, brainwashed students ) and they are outspoken in their public speaking and indoctrination attempts.

Republicans need to start kicking, screaming and yelling at every opportunity. When one of our elected officials is invited to debate on a news program, they need treat the interview like a hostile interrogation (which it will be from practically every left leaning news organization) and fight tooth and nail on every issue debated. The reason the Left is being heard is because they are louder. Be loud. In the arena of ideas liberals will always lose because sob stories and a historically failed ideologies are not ideas just pander. I am not recommending a protest on every street corner (most Republicans have responsibilities and cannot drop everything to protest bread sales) but a united front and, yes, if the issue is important enough (fighting FOCA, National Healthcare, Stimulus) public protest, nationwide.

The GOP needs to encourage the growth and recognition of new organizations that push Republican and Conservative ideas and solutions. We need new, fresh faces to help sell our ideas in order for future generations to appreciate and understand our ideology. Attack the liberal indoctrination that runs rampant in our education system beginning in grammar school and continuing through university. Support conservative writers, bloggers, websites, newspapers, magazines and radio shows. Support conservative Hollywood and ignore the pretty faces and tiny brains of the Hollywood “elite”. Educate your neighbors and your friends and most importantly your children. Remind them that “Republican” and “Conservative” are not bad words. It is not wrong to be pro-life. It is not wrong to expect citizens to take responsibility for their own lives. It is not wrong to want government to stay out of your life, your business and your wallet.

Poll: Reid polling badly with both sides of the aisle

www.redplanetcartoons.com

www.redplanetcartoons.com

Every poll, from the reputable to the downright partisan, have Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) in the dumpster of public opinion and early reelection polling. Reputable sources such as Rasmussen Reports have Reid down as much an average of 9 percentage points to either of the possible Republican candidates. Rasmussen polled 500 likely voters on September 14, 2009 and found that Sue Lowden (R) would win by 10% at 50% to 40% and Danny Tarkanian (R) by 7% at 50% to 43%.

The Progressive Change Committee Campaign, a crazy left wing polling and research group who works with such beacons of liberalism as the Daily Kos, polled 600 Democratic voters asking questions about Sen. Reid. When asked “Do you think Harry Reid is a strong leader or a weak leader?”, more than 51% said that he was weak. The poll showed a split in Democratic voters over the public option. Those in opposition of the public option (around 52% of all voters, many Democrat) are less likely to vote for Reid if he backs it while 34% will be less likely to back him if he does not fully support the public option.

Reid is in trouble and like any progressive politician the feelings of the people are at the bottom of his list of concerns. Senator Reid should heed the warnings of these polls and do us all a favor and quit now. The lying and dirty politics he has engaged in for years has the people of Nevada looking for someone who will represent them and get things done.

Bye Bye “Dingy” Harry.

Abortion not part of Health Care Reform Bill. Not so fast

Great video from realhealthcarerespectslife.com showing President Obama, then candidate Obama, on July 17, 2007 speaking to a Planned Parenthood group (or what I like to call The American SS) about his beliefs about abortion and health reform.
